В приложении - фрагмент файла REDME, который идет в комплекте с обновлением БИОС.
Если верить авторам восстановление БИОСа штатными средствами возможно только при условии успешной загрузки с дискеты. Для этого предлагается раздобыть старенькую графическую ISA-карту (не знаю принципиально ли это) и отключить все дисководы и жесткие диски (кроме флоппи-дисковода) и повынимать все карточки (кроме упомянутой графической). Потом попробовать загрузиться с дискеты и первым делом попробовать восстановить старую версию BIOS, которая должна находиться на дискете с которой пытались обновлять BIOS (если только в процессе обновления не отказались от создания резервной копии).
Думаю, что то же самое можно попробовать сделать и имеющейся графической картой, раз она работатет.

Прошу прощения, если написал прописные истины, известные автору вопроса и так.

Remove all cards and drives from your system, except for the ISA video card and the floppy drive. Then try to boot from a system disk (a bootable floppy with only the flash programs and corresponding BIOS binary). If you are able to boot to the floppy, flash your BIOS according to the directions above.
