Скачал драйвера для карточки ATI fglrx_4_3_0-8.32.5-1.i386.rpm
Пытаюсь ставить - неудовлетворённые зависимости libexpat.so.1. Нашёл в Интернете libexpat.so.1. Сунул в /lib/ не удовлетворил зависимость. Засунул в /usr/lib/ , опять fglrx_4_3_0-8.32.5-1.i386.rpm осталась неудовлетворённой. В какое место запихать этот libexpat.so.1 чтобы fglrx_4_3_0-8.32.5-1.i386.rpm испытала счастье?
Я уже не первый раз пытаюсь пересесть на linux и всё время спотыкаюсь о подобные штуки. Эта система в принципе предназначена для работы, или чисто для онанизма!

Здравствуйте, Reseter! Вы не устраняете зависимость в базе rpm пакетов тем,что пытаетесь поместить libexpat.so.1 в папку /lib/ ,/usr/lib/ следует полностью установить пакет содержащий libexpat.so.1 вот так rpm -i *.rpm
далее если fglrx_4_3_0-8.32.5-1.i386.rpm больше не имеет зависимостей он установится !!!

Хотя бы два ответа гугла первые посмотрели на "Mandriva ATI HOWTO":http://m.domaindlx.com/LinuxHelp/ati/ati.htmhttp://www.mrball.net/tutorials/ati.html+можно просто скачать инсталятор дров с сайта ati (я бы с этого и начинал, ATI свои драйвера не настолько хорошо поддерживает как Nvidia) - там все просто и прозрачно, единственное что прийдется установить средства для разработки... но драком пользоваться вы ведь уже умеете? :)вообще для _работы_ проприетарные дрова мягко говоря не нужны. я бы остерегся на вашем месте от подобных коментов, если хотите ответ получить.

К предыдущему ответу могу добавить только то, что если Вы просто копируете libexpat.so.1, то Вы не мжете грантировать, что в итеме есть все, что необходимо для libexpat , потому его надо либо ставить из пакетов, либо собирать из исходников. Если же Вы 100% уверены, что все будет работать то устанавливайте драйвер так:
rpm -i fglrx_4_3_0-8.32.5-1.i386.rpm --nodeps

Вот пакет в котором лежала libexpat.so.1, "freevo_runtime-3-3.i386.rpm" но не ставится этот пакет тоже какая то (не записал) зависимость его не удовлетворяет. Это дурная бесконечность? Нашёл это freevo через http://rpmfind.net/.И не устраивал бы я эти эксперименты, если бы по выходу из Х- ов мне не выдавало:fglrx: No matching Device section for instance (BusID PCI:1:0:1) foundAIGLX error: error for _dri CreateNewScreen_20050727 failed (/usr/lib/dri/fglrx_dri.so: undefined symbol: driCreaneNewScreen -20050727)AIGLX: reverting to software rendering

Извиняюсь, вторая строка ошибки должна начинаться так AIGLX error: AIGLX error: dlsym for _dri

Попробуйте дописать в конфиг Х-ов в соответствующую секцию. Section "ServerFlags" Option "AIGLX" "off"EndSectionМожно еще BusID дописать в настройки карточки в конфиге Х-ов :)

Это _лог_ Х-ов. Полностью xorg.conf - это /etc/X11/xorg.conf, куда вы должны были вписать в Section "ServerFlags" Option "AIGLX" "off"...

Я тут должен перед вами извиниться, ваш тот совет я выполнил неправильно! По совету другого товарища вписалSection "Extensions" Option "Composite" "Disable"EndSection Section "ServerFlags" Option "AIGLX" "off"EndSectionКороче зависоны прекратились, я сделал в Х соманду fgl_glxgearsтакой клёвый кубик крутился с шестерёнками и FPS примерно в районе 586.800Если это кошерный вариант, будем считать инцидент исчерпанным.Хотелось бы понять вкратце, чего это мы сделали?
